About Us

Nearthlab, under the vision of “Adding a new perspective to the world through drones.” is developing AI-powered inspection solutions for industrial facilities. Consisting of autonomous drones and deep learning detection algorithms, our solution can reduce inspection time from a few hours under conventional manual methods to just around 15 minutes, thereby greatly enhancing efficiency of the inspection while ensuring safety of inspection workers.


In 2020, we became an exclusive drone solution provider to one of the top 3 global OEMs and were the first company to ever conduct an offshore autonomous drone inspection in Taiwan. Building from this accomplishment in 2021, we were able to successfully provide our solutions to all of the top 3 wind turbine OEMs in the world and complete a EU-wide inspection campaign canvassing over 15 countries.


This position will work as the Global Business Development team manager and will focus on globally expanding Nearthlab’s autonomous drone inspection business specializing in the Wind Energy Industry in North America. Our team members are working in different parts of the world to facilitate our international sales process, collaborating with local partners and customers on site.

Job Description

  • Identify new clients and partners and build positive and long-term relationships
  • Engage with customers on sites frequently to identify their needs/pain points and communicate the insights within the company to improve product-market fit
  • Coordinate with team members in Korea and the US to calculate pricing, formulate strategy, and participate in competitive tenders
  • Develop and manage business development pipeline from lead generation, sales, negotiation, contract, delivery and post-sales support
  • May require extended travel to customer sites to oversee project implementation, and demonstrations, sometimes with very short notices
  • Prepare for and participate in conferences, exhibitions and other related programs to meet potential clients and partners and generate leads
  • Able to flexibly handle multiple projects, time zones and business trips with no disqualifying traits in terms of visa applications or overseas travel


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of successful global business development experience, preferably in IT industry or B2B solutions business
  • Track record of identifying new business opportunities and driving results through collaboration with numerous stakeholders
  • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Legal resident in United States
